Calibre converting books

Hello,

I'm struggling with a few books that calibre is making too dark to read when converter to mobi. I wondered if anyone knew what I am (indubitably) doing wrong?

What are you trying to convert from? epub, azw, azw3, pdf?

I’m converting from ePub to mobi.

Do you know if the books are actually retail and not conversions from pdf?

Give me the names and authors of the books and let me see if I have them in my Calibre library. If I do, I'll post the mobi files here for you.

Sometimes that can happen if you don't have the output profile set correctly. Converting to be optimal on one screen type , and then trying to read on another can be problematic, especially when setting for a color screen and then trying to read on a black and white screen. When you try to convert, make sure that you set the output profile to the closest device to the one that you will be using (via the "Page Setup" tab on the left of the first screen). Let me know if that fixes the problem. Good Luck!
