King's League Series by Jason Anspach, J.N. Chaney (#1-6)

Sci-Fi/Fantasy - ePub 1.2 MB

1. King's League - King’s League is more than a game… it’s a way of life.
For recently expelled college dropout Dirk Wilson, picking up and re-selling other player’s scraps from cleared dungeons and side quests gone sideways is the only thing keeping him from living on the streets.
Tired of ramen noodles, past due notices, and feeling like his future is over before it ever started, Dirk decides that if he’s going to make something of himself, it’ll be within the game, taking advantage of the real life payouts from selling in-game goods on King’s League’s River Market.
But the game leaves little margin for error, and Dirk’s virtual problems grow as large as his real life ones as he discovers a powerful conspiracy that impacts players from level one to level 99.

2. 86-Neon - Success brings its own troubles.
Dirk's epic run of success in King's League has drawn new gamers to Dawnshire, but not all of them are there to play nice. Rumors about mysterious Graydon's Armor pieces are quietly spreading across the Realms. It isn't long before someone attempts to take away everything Dirk possess as powerful forces conspire against King's League's newest player sensation.
The game quickly turns personal as hidden threats work to make Dirk's life miserable in and out of the game. Dirk follows the clues to King's League's cyberpunk expansion realm, 86-Neon. Fighting for survival in a world of flying cars, powerful weapons, and ruthless crime, Dirk must learn to rely on more than just himself if he hopes to survive this thrillingly hilarious second installment of King's League!

3. Ruin of Kings - Party at Dawnshire.
Graydon’s Armor is bestowing its power on players throughout King’s League, and not all of them think like Dirk.
When a vicious player-killer begins to wreak havoc in his own corner of King’s League, Dirk decides that the only way he can put a stop to it is by gathering up his friends and creating a balanced party capable of standing up against some of the game’s toughest challenges.
As Dirk helps Stoneburner and others level up to survive the coming encounter, he discovers that finding Graydon’s Sight wasn’t just good luck...it was the start of a game-changing development that will impact every player in King’s League!

4. Sky Raiders - Life in King’s League has hit a new low. Dirk has lost Graydon’s Sight to another player. For the first time since finding it, he is forced to navigate the game while tracking down the rest of the set. It’s the worst time to discover that Graydon isn’t the only god with armor to bestow, either.
It becomes a race against the clock to collect the remaining missing pieces and devise a plan to get the helm back, all while keeping an eye out for old enemies.
With the help of his party, Dirk discovers the player in possession of Graydon’s Sight is using it to take over a realm called Sky Raiders. Left with no choice, he and the others set out for the steampunk skies where one thing soon becomes clear:
They’re going to need a bigger boat.
There they discover that not everything is what it seems and being a pirate captain in a cutthroat realm where only the ruthless survive isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.
As Dirk navigates this strange new land in hopes of getting his armor back, he’ll discover new lore that won’t stay secret for long. It’s a race against the clock before every player in the game starts gunning for him and it will take all Dirk’s wits to avoid the character creation screen.

5. The Glitch - Word about the Tournament of Champions is out.
The hunt for God armor is ramping up as players who want in on the action flock to Dawnshire and the other Champions’ strongholds to try their luck. Between that and Dirk’s agreement with Dead Hunter, his own quest to complete the Graydon’s is temporarily put on hold.
To make matters worse, Dirk is faced with the unsettling realization that Dead Hunter isn’t just a good player—he’s a master. Graydon’s Champion will have his work cut out and then some if he wants to stay alive and come out on top.
As he starts to contemplate a new strategy, the unthinkable happens: King’s League devs upload a patch that doesn’t go as planned, turning the game upside down.
Dirk is now Spyce, and he gets more than a new wardrobe.
King’s League stops for no one. As the group continues to quest through the unfamiliar gamescape in unfamiliar avatars, they have no choice but to dive headfirst into the chaos.
Through it all, unrest stalks the group from within at every turn. Will their friendships survive the glitch. Dirk isn’t so sure. There are still battles to be fought and lessons to be learned, and the most important of all may have nothing to do with the game at all.

6. Tournament of Champions - The end is nigh.
For the first time in King’s League history the developers have made concessions to their rules and
brought Dirk back from the dead. After such a close call, he’s more focused than ever on bringing his
A-game to the tournament.
Things are going well. Until a player with no armor nearly succeeds in taking everything from him.
This one moment thrusts Dirk into a dark world of uncertainty about not only himself but also
whether he’s on the right path altogether.
When Graydon throws another wrench into the already murky situation with a new vision, Dirk is
once again spurred into action. In order to find the sword, he and his friends will have to travel to
parts unknown first. They learn there is one truth that can be depended on:
Hints are never what they seem when given by a Trickster God.
All roads lead to the tournament but the trials are just beginning and not just for Dirk. Friends and
enemies alike are put to the test in the final cha
