Realms Gate series by Juliet Anderson (#1-5)

Sci-Fi/Fantasy - ePub 1.4 MB

Realms Gate (#1) Packed off to spend the summer at her family’s ancestral home in the far north of Scotland, seventeen year old Erin is not expecting too much. She is just biding her time until she turns eighteen and will inherit the small trust fund her late father left her, then she’ll be off to enjoy her freedom.
Her plans take an unexpected turn when she discovers the mysterious Scandinavian stranger who has saved her life twice is actually her bodyguard. Events start to spiral out of control as bizarre things start to happen to her and her father’s true legacy is revealed.
Armed with a magnificent sword and some rather unique skills, Erin finds herself transported into a chilling Viking world where she begins to understand the role that has been passed to her. With danger at every turn, she must try and defeat an evil sorcerer, rescue her best friend from his grasp and fight her growing feelings for a rather cute Viking prince. Nothing out the ordinary for a hormonal, twenty-first century teen.
But lurking in the shadows is the biggest secret of all, one that will truly rock her world and could alter the course of a war that has been raging for centuries.

A Realm Divided (#2) Erin is dreading her eighteenth birthday when she inherits her full powers; she is terrified she'll turn dark and evil like Heinrekh. She has plenty of other complications to focus on too. Her closest friend is dating her arch enemy. She is exiled from Lokranor along with her guardian Magnus and Prince Wilhelm. And her new tutor is one of Valkarin's loyal guards. As she digs deeper into the secrets her house holds, she uncovers a host of unexpected alliances, betrayals and hidden books. Rescuing her mother is always at the front of her mind, and that chance arrives at last. But is she truly strong enough to beat Heinrekh at his own game? He finds out that teenagers rarely do what is expected of them and can play just as dirty. Now if only she can keep her mind off a rather cute Viking who has just moved into her house, everything would run much more smoothly.

The Realms Unite (#3) Erin has her hands full with Valkarin flexing his muscle, one very irritable pregnant friend and a decidedly cute Viking Prince. In an attempt to defeat Valkarin, Erin heads off to find a series of artefacts which legend states are deadly to him. With many attempts on Erin's life, Magnus has a hard time keeping her safe.
Meanwhile Sasha is under pressure from Heinrekh to move to Vasmaar, whilst Valkarin wants her in Lokranor; with Lars as her protector, her life is anything but smooth running either.
Knowing the war will be settled with sorcery rather than with a sword, Erin has to put her trust in Valkarin's dead wife, Aria.
Erin finally discovers why she has such incredible power, but is she strong enough to send Valkarin back to his tomb?

The Fourth Realm (#4) Her eldest, Arianna, is about to turn eighteen and has yet to receive any powers, other than the ability to irritate Damon of Vasmaar. Being heir to the Lokranor throne, she's eager to prove herself worthy of the position. When Damon raises the possibility of a missing realm, Arianna is more than willing to help him find it. As long as she can stop herself from knocking him out flat.
Katya accidently discovers the gateway to the missing Fourth Realm when Ulrik crosses over. Could his presence and her startling new powers have something to do with the rather unusual stone she has picked up? As Katya and Ulrik spend time with each other, neither is keen to make public the location of the gateway. After all, it's not easy getting dates when your father is King.
Ulrik of Mallenvaar is having problems of his own. Unlike Arianna, his father is not overly keen to announce him as his heir, not with his cousin fighting him for that position.
With treachery and trouble stalking them all, can they maintain the peace in both the Second and Fourth Realms?

The Last Realm (#5) With Morganna missing, presumed to be in the Fifth realm, Erin and Sasha pull on their family ties to find the location of the latest gateway.
Arianna and Kat head to Mallenvaar and join forces with Ulrik in their search. They hit on a gateway and the girls set out to rescue Morganna with their mother and Lars in tow. As always with Arianna and Kat, trouble continually stalks them as they cross the newest realm in search of their friend.
Damon finally tracks down a gateway on Lokranor land and seeks Wilhelm's permission to take troops over his border. When Wilhelm learns from Ulrik that his wife and two daughters are already in the Fifth realm, he launches his own rescue team.
Morganna is not only getting to grips with being stranded in another realm, she has to battle a sorcerer who is after her for her bloodline, but also a Viking prince with an over-inflated ego. Prince Brimir is having a hard time as he tries to keep Morganna in one piece whilst resisting the temptation to strangle her.
It's a race to see who will get to Morganna first, however they soon realise they will need to stand together to defeat the sorcerer.
Kat is being drawn closer to making the all important decision - a regular First realm life or a future with Ulrik. Arianna has to ask herself if she can make a life with Damon.
And Morganna, she is becoming quite a champion of the Viking realms.
Will everyone get what they want?
And will they all make it home?
